I am a born-again Christian. What this means to me, is that I believe Jesus Christ, fully man, fully God, died for the sin of the world. He is my Savior, yes I need saving from my sin, and my Lord, his Holy Spirit helps me to follow his teachings. In theory. I’m far from perfect.
Yes, I know if you don’t believe this, it’s foolishness to you. For most of my life it was foolishness as well. I can’t live without him now. I’m here to talk, if you are curious.
I don’t buy into the American Evangelical culture. So don’t lump me in with them.
Micah 6:8 “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

I would like to see some posts here on faith. You seem to have a different outlook than most and I would like to hear about you take on things. I realize that is kind of general, so I will seed that thought with a couple questions.
What is something that you used to assume about Christians/Christianity that you don’t now.
What are some interesting things that you learned on your journey into Christianity?
Well, this seems like such a personal topic. Not one I’m game to talking about in such a public place. Bolstered by french roast and some blues music, though, I’m game to bat it around a bit, James, off line…and curious farmer. moz412@yahoo.com is the more successful email here right now. Slooow but okay.
I’m in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. It’s warm, my neighbor’s cat is visiting and all is right w/ the world, except I’m praying for Haiti…that’s not so right.
Abrasos,
Karen in Merida.
