My faith is in Jesus Christ. Where is your faith?
Matthew 9:12-13 (Jesus speaking)
“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Romans 3:21-24
Righteousness Through Faith
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Your declaration has triggered confusion in me. I used to believe the way you do, though I never was born-again. I was Catholic through and through . . .
Now, I fall back on my own conscience (no churchliness) and the aha moments that come on a daily basis, knowing that I am loved. That is all I know for sure, that I am loved.
And that I am teaching myself, indeed, disciplining myself, to be altruistic and compassionate. It is more doing than believing.
Chris….what got e to write was that “all I know for sure, is that I am loved.” Wow…rockin’ cool.
I just finished a book by a Jesuit called “How Big is Your God?” His name is Paul Coutinho, SJ.
It touched me deeply. Coutinho said to 400 people in a talk in LA, “Tomorrow, do not love God for one hour. Instead allow God to show up and show off how much He loves you!!!”
I love that….
Hugs to you both,

Thanks, Karen.
Thanks for the discussion Chris and Karen. I believe “God is love” also. I know I need God’s love and mercy. It’s great to know he’s my rock.
