Belmont Mound

I took Shepherd and Gameboy to Belmont Mound State Park.  The Belmont Mound is a 400 foot hill.  We climbed to the top of the observation deck.

The surrounding land was eroded more than the mound, which is described as an outlier of the Niagara Escarpment.

Shepherd thought this crevice should be explored, but felt more comfortable assisting his younger brother, rather than taking the lead himself.

Gameboy’s hat, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” was not fitting for such a bold explorer.

Afterward, a well deserved snack.

How heavenly for them to be out and running around. So healthy!
